What’s up next?

Jarod | January 4, 2010

My DVD rental wish list is running dry again. Any “must-see” movies or shows you can recommend?

96 Hours with Liam Neson is quite entertaining aswell if you like Action.

Ha, believe it or not. 96 Hours is already on its way, says my miraculously random video rental service … :)

I really laughed at the scene with the cops wife. Totally unexpected and so unlikely for hollywood :)

Ok, we are testing such a DVD-rental-service aswell know. Any must-have-seen series we could order?

Well that certainly depends on what you like. The Wire for intelligent, realistic cop drama. The Shield for action-oriented, not-as-intelligent, not-as-realistic cop drama. Veronica Mars for intelligent, … err… I just like it, I guess. Heroes for the comic book fans. Sopranos for everyone with a little patience. Battlestar Galactica, of course. Dexter. Chuck.

Important: to be watched in English. It’s too bad the US shows are often not aired at all in Germany or only very late, and you can only get the DVD copies late, too – so no Dollhouse for example.

Of course you can get some more casual stuff like House, Life, Boston Legal, and more weird ones like Pushing Daisies, My Name Is Earl, IT Crowd, Black Books, Dr. Who et al…

Hm, the Shield sounds good :) Know many of the rest. Thanks for the tips.
