The cake to end all cakes
Jarod | July 21, 2009I like chocolate, innovation and birthday cakes, so I thought why not making an innovative chocolate cake for my birthday.
My mom has this cookbook for stuff made with, from or based on chocolate (you have no idea what all can be done with cholocate!). So I decided to try the Chocolate-Marshmallow cake. It came out orange. And bouncy.
Now the marshmallows don’t go in the cake. They make the icing. You melt them in a pot and put them on the chocolate cake – first as a thick adhesive liquid, which later turns into a very robust, inert, yet elastic coating. You can be sure, throw it at a wall and it’ll bounce right back.
Since the shop only had multicolored marshmallows (white, yellow, pink stripes) the icing turned out a bright orange. In total the cake contains 80% sugar or so. It tastes surprisingly good, but I can tell y’ll, it sends your blood pressure near zero. Oh, but if you ever need a volcano for a school project …

Is there no end to your talents !
My sons Birthday is coming up in a weeks time, any chance you could pop one in the post ?
