No new post this week?

Jarod | December 17, 2007

Yes, but only a short one. On Friday, we had our company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun, and I was amongst the last people leaving. To bad it was darn loud again and my voice was scarcely audible the next day after all the screaming. My colleagues need some tequila training, and I’m also quite out of shape. University days are long gone.

Last week before Christmas. Can’t say that I’m not looking forward to it, it’s just I still have so much to do. I wrapped all the presents this weekend, I really enjoy doing that, always have. I’m a perfectionist in that area, too.

Played some CoD4 multiplayer, slowly getting somewhere, though still below my targeted skill level. Level 37 now.

Have any of you seen The Golden Compass? I read the books earlier this year, very atheistic. That makes it interesting, although the story as a whole didn’t really convince me. If the movie is any good, I might go and watch it, I mean it has Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Coulter – for some this may be a reason to avoid it, but I think she’s be perfect for the role.

Look at the time … bed’s calling.

Ive seen it and quite enjoyed it… not the best movie ive ever seen but it wasnt bad in any sense of the word.

The movie doesnt come off as atheistic (is this realy a word ? ). The state wants o control the populace and it resembles some weird religious cult but if you look past it youll see that it has little to do with religion and all to do with political power. (never read the book so i can’t compare it)

Maybe they keep the good stuff for the final part (of the trilogy, if there will be one). On the other hand, can they really depict “God” as … hm, unfavorable as Pullman did in the books in an American movie … ?
